Take A Look At Montreal’s Massive Climate Strike Turnout

The Montreal Climate Strike March took over the city today.

The march was scheduled to begin at noon at the Sir George-Étienne Cartier monument on Parc Avenue.

The city was expecting over 300,000 marchers, and Greta Thunberg, who spoke in the city before the march, is set to attend Montreal city hall post-rally to receive the key to city.

Transit will be free across the STM network for the day. Also, Quebec’s largest school board, the Commission scolaire de Montréal (CSDM) along with Concordia University, Dawson College, and Cégep du Vieux Montréal, all cancelled classes for the protest.
